Spammer's Agony :: Theory of a successful idea...

Spammers get your e-mails addresses in a few ways only. The most common are via Robots or Spiders, which are simple programs (kid-coded programs, most of the times we can guess) which dig through public websites looking for anything that resembles like an e-mail address, and then adding such addresses to a master e-mail list queue. These programs are known as "Harvesters".

Here comes SPAG, to take the battle to the enemy, to take the battle against SPAM. That's by using techniques such as the known as Faking E-mail Addresses to Clobber Harvesters, where thousands of different e-mail addresses are randomly generated. Basically it uses a number of routines to simulate the rhythm of copy interspersed with anything between 900 and 2000 unique junk email addresses along with an appropriate level of random paragraphs, rehashed and delivered each time the page is visited. Simply drop the script in your site root directory and create a link to it on your homepage near the <body> tag. It has been proven Spammer's Harvesters will no longer visit your site when they found you show them all that amount of junk e-mail addresses.
