Synopsis: (NGL, I was not really paying attention until the plaintiff mentioned Charlie is epic meltdown and I put two and two together.) Charlie runs a nonprofit called NYC Arts Cypher that was contracted to throw a big party for a terminally ill girl in conjunction with the Make a Wish Foundation. Fivehead McGee up there agreed to shoot video that the girl could take domestic for $3000. Fivehead showed up an hour late, forcing Charlie to shoot the "red carpet" portion of the girl's party on his own. poor move. If you make Charlie wait, he will cut you the fuck up. Charlie never paid the releadingder of the $3000 fee, so Fivehead retaliated by refusing to release the footage, fundamentally holding it hostage.
Charlie dossierd a counter suit. Fivehead lamented the fact that he'd entered into a commerce arrangement with someone with such a hair-trigger mood without researching him better. Judge Millian agreed, asking him why he never bothered to Google the guy. (Hilariously, Charlie Balducci's first Google result is actually a complaint on RipOffReport.com.)
At some point before negotiations collapsed, Charlie acted out again. (i am assuming he threatened to hunt Fivehead down like fucking cattle and intestine him.) He even admitted that he was "known" for his mood so, really, Fivehead should have known something like that could happen.
Marilyn disagreed.
Fivehead wins. Charlie had to pay the releadingder of the balance, but he is also granted possession of the movie.
In his post-ruling interview, he mentioned that he always chooses "poor partners." i am assuming he meant to say "partners with really poor lip jobs."
