Now the company behind her 6126 clothing line claims it was the actress who who breached tinheritor 2008 licensing deal. An apparel company that claims Lindsay Lohan skirted her duties with the 6126 clothing line's counter-suing the oft-rehabbed starlet. The “Mean Girls” actress first sued California-based DNAM Apparel Industries in January, contending the company owed her $1.1 million in unpaid royalties and sales. But DNAM claims Lohan is the one who breached tinheritor 2008 licensing deal when her personal life unraveled with legal issues that led to both jail and two stints in rehab in 2010. DNAM says its first collection with Lohan was “very well received” in early 2010, but then the 26-year-old starlet spent two weeks behind bars in mid 2010 for violating her driving-under-the influence probation and was fresh out of one court-ordered rehab when a soiled drug test landed her at the Betty Ford Clinic in September 2010. Unsurprisingly, numerous customers found his outlook offensive, and even celebs like Ellen DeGeneres and Kirstie Alley have given tinheritor two cents on the matter. But we think we may have found the best response yet in a blog post by Jes M. Baker of The Militant Baker. The blogger addresses Jeffries in an open letter, taking on the executive is initial remarks and subsequent ill-received public apology. "The only shit you have done through your remarks (about thin being beautiful and only offering XL and XXL in your stores for men) is reinforce the unoriginal concept that fat women are social failures, worthless, and undesirable. Your apology does not change this." Baker takes her argument a step further by posing in a series of mock Abercrombie ads, aptly titled "appealing & Fat," along with mannequin John C. Shay. The black and white snaps feature the blogger in one of the brand's logo t-shirts, posing like the sultry mannequins we are accustomed to seeing on Abercrombie is bags, magazine ads and invoiceboards. "I challenge the separation of appealing and fat, and I assert that they're compatible regardless of what you believe," Baker states in her letter to Jeffries. To which we say: Get it, girl. With this set of stunning, satirical images shot by Liora K Photography, Baker captures much of the public discourse surrounding Jeffries' "exclusionary" and so-called "sizeist" sentiments. Check out the photos below and tell us what you think. What effect do you think these "ads" will have?
