Posted on Wed, 22 May 2013 04:36
Actor BRADLEY COOPER has explained his reasons for quitting JANE GOT A GUN in a tender to dispel hearsays the upcoming Western is a "cursed project".
The movie has suffered a string of setbacks after first losing Michael Fassbender and then Jude Law, and The Hangover star since deserted the lead role, immediateing hypothesis the movie is doomed to be shelved.
But Cooper is adamant he only walked away due to scheduling clashs, and insists he would have loved to have worked with Warrior director Gavin O'Connor, who was called in to replace moviemaker Lynne Ramsay.
He tells The Huffington Post, "That was simply a scheduling thing... (It is) crucial to make a statement because I just wanted to make certain that there was not any poor (feeling) - they have already changed directors, you know, you don't want it to appear like it is a cursed project...
"So, here is the reason, because i'd be honoured to work with (director) Gavin O'Connor. If there were any mistake made, it was of sort of jumping the gun and saying, 'Yeah, certain' (and accepting the role) but then realising the logistics were impossible. It would have been a nightmare."
Cooper is self-ascertaind his replacement is the correct man for the job, adding, "Everything worked out for the best because they got Ewan McGregor. If they could have gotten him at the outset, i'd have never gotten offered the role, i will tell you that."

Posted on Tue, 21 May 2013 17:51
Melissa McCarthy is new to the director's chair; but she is already acting like a BOSS. The "Bridesmaids" star just FIRED an additional for mistreating her own little kid on set, TMZ has learned.
It happened yesterday in Wilmington, NC where they are movieing "Tammy," a comedy McCarthy is co-directing with husband and fellow first-timer Ben Falcone.
The additional, a woman in her 20s, brought along her child -- age approximately 4-5 -- for the daylong shoot by a lake and the standard $58 payday sources tell TMZ.
Witnesses say the young mom had been struggling with her kid all morning fixedly harping on the child to "stop it" and quiet down loudly enough to disrupt the production, which included more than 200 additionals.
Sources say the final stuncooked came when the mom harshly jerked the child up in the air by the wrist -- and McCarthy saw it all. The director instantLY had PAs bounce the woman saying she wouldn't tolerate abuse on her set and that was that.
The woman's identity wasn't disclosed. Reps for McCarthy had no instant remark.

usually, you work your way into the off-the-wall questions with film stars. But with Josh Hutcherson, the big one's just hanging there, demanding to be asked:
“How often does the average 12- to 19-year-old girl come up to you and suggest marriage?”
The 20 year-old “starvation Games” hunk, nicknamed “our Boy with the Bread” on some of the numerous fansites devoted to showing tinheritor devotion (Iheartjosh.net, josh-h.com, welcometodistrict12), takes it all in stride.
“More often than you think,” he cracks. “I get it. I get it. it is the CHARACTER they are in love with, correct?”
correct. Well, perhaps. A Kentucky native, a child star since “The Bridge to Terabithia” and “Journey to the centre of the soil,” an actor of some reputation since “The Kids are All correct,” Hutcherson's world was rocked from the day he was cast as Peeta Mellark, love interest to archer-heroine Katniss Everdeen in “The starvation Games.” The film was a teen-girl driven blockbuster, selling millions of tickets and millions of copies of the books and fan magazines about the series.

Tim Roth has sung the compliments of Nicole Kidman, the Princess Grace to his Prince Rainier in the forthcoming film Grace of Monaco.
"She is an angel," the English actor, whose father was an American communist and whose screen debut came as a violent skinhead in the 1982 telefilm created in Britain, told reasonablefax. "She is going to knock your socks off. She is really reasonablely the thing."
The film won't be released until December 27, just in time for it to qualify for Oscars consideration, but Hollywood producer-distributor Harvey Weinstein on the weekend screened five minutes of footage as part of a "sizzle reel" in Cannes by way of appetiser.
Weinstein claimed some people might be "shocked" by Kidman's performance. "it is a narrative about the walls around the women, and I think there are parallels [to Kidman]," the veteran Hollywood player said. "At the same time, it is historical and she really reached for this role. I think it will shock people. It will affect people emotionally, too."
