Karlie Kloss launching denim line to fit her 'freakishly tall' frame

American mannequin and fashion star Karlie Kloss has been working with Frame Denim on a new range of denims designaled for additional tall girls.

Set to launch in June, the Forever Karlie collection is set to help tall girls who are tired of hasslesome short denims.

"i am freakishly tall, so finding pants that fit's something i have struggled with my whole life," said Kloss to Vogue. "My secret to pulling off too-short denims has always been to twosome them with boots and I really rocked the flood-pant trend for as long as I could! It was not until I started mannequinling at fifteen that I even realized what well-becoming clothes felt like."

Founded final year by Swedish entrepreneurs Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson, Frame Demin is part of the Saturday Group, the digital agency that has made the distinctive online presences for clients including Mr Porter and Calvin Klein. Manufactured in California, the denims feature additional-high waist-bands, as well as 40-inch inseams.

This is not the mannequin's first collaboration. Twenty-year-old Karlie has formerly worked with David Chang's Momofuku Milk Bar to create her almond oat and dark chocolate treats called Karlie is Kookies, sold to benefit hungry children via FEED Projects.

Frame denims are inventoryed around the world in boutiques including Barneys New York and London's Liberty and Selfridges, and are also available online at Net-à-Porter and Shopbop.

The British mannequin told GLAMOUR at a party in Cannes final night that she has ambitions beyond the runway.

Delevingne surely has the contacts to launch a career in singing, counting Rita Ora and Rihanna amongst her A-list friends.
The mannequin recently appeared alongside Ora in her latest music video, too: good practice if she's planning to launch a solo career.

Cara was in excellent spirits as she supported friend Bip Ling, who was DJ-ing at the party.
We asked her if she got tired if being fixedly photographed by paps and fans.

These days, the term "plus-size" seems to be assignaled to mannequins with the slightest of curves (ahem, Robyn Lawley), but it turns out there is a reason for distinguishing between straight-size and plus-size in the industry.

Jennie Runk, H&M's now-infamed plus-size swimwear mannequin, broke it down for everyone in an essay she penned for BBC:

While the idea of separating women into size categories seems stigmatising, clothing companies do this in order to offer tinheritor customers precisely what they are looking for, making it easier for people of all sizes to find clothes that fit tinheritor bodies as well as tinheritor own unique stylistic expression.

At 5 feet 9 inches, Jennie herself leadingtains a US size 10. She writes that she was asked to either lose or gain weight when she was discovered in order to fit into the fashion industry's bilateral system (she chose the latter). Aside from gaining weight, some other plus-size mannequins have reported using padding to look "big" enough for clients. This extreme positioning does not always bode well for the ladies in front of the camera.

"People assume 'plus' equates to fat, which in turn equates to ugly," Jennie says, adding, "There are also negative connotations associated with thinness. Just as bigger women get called fat or chunky, thin women get called gangly or bony."

With size 0 and size 10 mannequins dominating the pages of fashion glossies (with the former in the lead by a mile), will there ever be a place for an average-size mannequin who does not must gain or lose weight to leadingtain a career?
