Khloé Kardashian: "Lamar MUST Make Olympic Team For Sake Of His Career!!!" Posted on Tue, 15 May 2012 22:12 ![]() Khloé is desperately hoping that Lamar, will be offered a slot on the US Olympic Basketball Team, for the sake of his floundering career, RadarOnline's exclusively reporting. "Khloé is telling friends that Lamar have to make the Olympic team -- for the sake of his career and tinheritor future together," a source close to the couple tells RadarOnline. "Khloé thinks the only shit that will get Lamar out of the funk he's in is to make it into the team, because it's not just about basketball when talking about the Olympics. Lamar has represented his country at the World Championships, and Khloé wants that for him again. "Khloé thinks the best way for Lamar to receive a new deal with a NBA team is if pro coaches were to see how he performs at the Olympics. Lamar would love to signal a new deal with either the Lakers or Clippers, because Los Angeles is his domestic, but he loves the game so much that he will go where he's needed. Lamar is not ready to retire, period." Coach K told Dallas blogger Big Mac: "Lamar was our moment main scorer in Istanbul. We would not have won the World Championships without him. He's a part of our pool and we've a fantastic relationship with Lamar." If Odom makes the Olympic team, Kim has said that she would definitely go to London to support him. JONATHAN HORTON | GYMNASTICS Four-year-old Jonathan Horton was at a Target in his domestictown, Houston, when he attempted his first public gymnastic feat. All of a sudden his mother could not find him. Store employees scoured the aisles until the manager happened to look up, to the top of a 20-foot pole, where Horton was smiling down on terrified shoppers. “My mom and dad enrolled me in gymnastics the next day,” Horton says. Gymnastics did not run in the budding Olympian's family, but he did have a genetic predisposition to a small but muscular physique. “I come from a long line of short people,” the five-foot-two-inch Horton jokes. “it is nearly like I was designaled for the sport.” The shoppers at Target that day may have predicted the silver medal he would go on to win at Beijing in 2008, but not Horton. “i am 26. i have been doing this for 22 years, and I still have a tough time believing that I created it to the top.” ( Ashton Eaton, Ryan Lochte, Bryan Brothers and Dwayne Wade after the cut ) VOGUE ![]() Ryan Lochte: Vogue June '12 cover Posted on Sun, 13 May 2012 10:01 ![]() "Men -- who needs 'em?" has been Vogue is approach to cover stars for the past, oh, century. But for the mag's June 2012 issue, Anna Wintour has permitted a Ryan Lochte to grace to cover, making him just the fourth man to ever cover Vogue. Lochte, a six-time Olympic medalist swimmer, is joined by Hope Solo and Serena Williams, both wearing ruched retro swimsuits (string bikinis are for Sports Illustrated covers). With the super buff Lochte photographed mid-stride, sporting a lady on each arm, the Annie Leibovitz-snapped cover has a strong "Baywatch" vibe. We half expected to see a bcorrect red rescue board trailing behind them... The theme of the cover, of course, is the 2012 London Olympics, which have already gotten a reasonable amount of attention from the fashion industry. Stella McCartney designaled the blue and white "kit" (uniform) for Team GB (fantastic Britain), while Giorgio Armani did the honors for Team Italy. The U.S. uniforms are designaled by that paragon of Americana, Ralph Lauren. Source 1, 2 ![]() Alexander Dale Oen dies at 26 Posted on Tue, 01 May 2012 18:38
The swimmer became a symbol of resilience and resurgence in Norway with that victory, the country's first swimming world title at a time when it was in desperate need of something to cheer for. On Tuesday, Norway was in mourning after Dale Oen died suddenly from cardiac arrest during a pre-Olympic training camp in Flagstaff, Ariz. He was 26.
