Bird fly away, this is not your place any more. Years are gone, this song has remained my favorite because it tells the story of my journey. I was not even a teenager in 1957 when it was released, one migration was already behind me. That migration literally consumed millions, coincidentally just 7 years later I moved again, then 5 years were like whirlwinds. After that I remained like a tumbleweed. I always liked the song. There was a time when my eyes used to get moist ...but not now. Now I think this how life should be...a sort of motivation. I often listen to this song beautifully rendered by Moh. Rafi in his great style...like the voice...each word is coming from his heart. Music and lyrics too are just more than pure gold.

Someday I will translate it. Very few will fathom the depth of this song.

After more than half a century we still cant find any one to match beat Rafi's silky smooth, youthful and romantic voice. All those old songs were so touchy, that they penetrate deep inside us. This song was specially composed with many levels of pitch
